The Library and Story Dogs presented a family day to celebrate the launch of the National Library’s latest picture book, Dog Beach.

Dr Eleanor Hogan presented a lecture on her 2023 National Library Fellowship research into the brilliant career of award-winning dramatist and scriptwriter Eleanor Witcombe.

Our Enlighten community picnic was back in 2024. Once again, we extended our opening hours on the Friday and Saturday evenings between 1 and 11 March with free activities for all ages running on our Podium and in our Foyer.

As part of the Enlighten Festival, the Library welcomed 'The Guardians' to our podium area, from opening night on 28 February.

Friends of the Library enjoyed a lecture on the exhibition highlights with curator Dr Guy Hansen, and explored the gallery while getting to know other Friends members.
