The Chinese collection of the National Library is a rich source of information on the history, culture and current affairs of China.

While the National Library is unable to provide specialist advice on cataloguing, there are a number of online resources you can use.

We’re calling on all Australians to help us build the next chapter of Australia’s political history by collecting ephemera from the 2025 federal election. 

The Library maintains a small but significant collection of Khmer language materials; it consists of publications mainly from Cambodia, plus some from the Cambodian-Australian community in Australia.

You can buy copies of items in our collections found in the Catalogue or on Trove. We offer digital copies of newspaper articles, book chapters, photographs, maps, manuscripts, music, sound recordings, and they will be sent to you online.

The Burmese collections at the National Library of Australia consist of thousands of books, journals and microfilm holdings in Burmese language and Burma/Myanmar-related materials.

Between 1998 and 2002, people from all over Australia told us their stories as part of the Bringing Them Home oral history project.
