Story Dogs on Sunday - March 2025

We had a paw-sitive reading experience with the Story Dogs program.

Trained volunteers and their accredited dogs created a nurturing environment where children can practice reading aloud without fear of judgement. This unique program aims to make reading fun, helping children become confident, lifelong readers.

Young people aged 7 to 12 were invited to read to a friendly and attentive dog in a relaxed setting just outside our Bookshop in the Foyer.

Very small children (under 7) could meet the dogs and volunteers but could not participate directly in the reading sessions.

Two dogs were be onsite for the session.

This event will repeat on the last Sunday of every month for the remainder of the year, and you're welcome to book ahead.

This program was presented in partnership with Story Dogs.
